Maintaining the health of our environment and our natural resources is one of the best investments we can make. Our economic strength has so many ties to the natural resources of Southeast Virginia to include the water we drink, the water we fish and the soil we plant.
However, time and growth have taken a tremendous toll on our air, land and sea. The Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act have demonstrated effectiveness and must be supported. As well, our community leaders have taken the initiative with outstanding projects such as Lynnhaven River 2007.
David Ashe wants to marshall the environmental data that exists and ensure that everyone in our market-driven economy is aware of the costs and rewards of supporting our environment.
